Firm Name Registration :- If anyone is doing any business or
running clinic or hospital or pharmacy with specific name then any other person cannot
harm you in any way by keeping your firm name if registered, and even wll have goodwill in
the market. The party has right to sue in the court of law, if someone copy same name.
Firm registration is done under Indian registration act, 1908
Trade Mark / Trade Name :- A Trade mark is a means of identification of
your goods. It is a symbol which a person uses in the course of trade in order to that his
goods may be distinguished by the purchasing public from similar goods of other traders.
Registration of Trade mark done under Trade mark and Merchandise Act 1958.
Paten : - A patent granted under patent act, 1970 confers upon the
patentee where the patent is for an article or a substance, the exclusive right by
himself, his agents or licensees to make use, excercise, sell or distribute such article.
Design :- A desing of an article may be registered if the feature of
shape, configuration, pattern or ornament given to an article by any industrial process.
Copy Right :- The copy - right act provides for maintenance of a register
of copy - rights in which are entered particulars of the title of the work, name and
address of author, publisher and owner of copy - right with details of any assignement
made / licence given etc. A copy - right can be registered of following workds :-
